About me

My name is Marcel "el Pastor"

Marcel "El Pastor"
Tango has become a way of life for me. It strengthens posture and self-confidence. It is danced with mutual respect and mindfulness. I enjoy actively embracing the responsibility inherent in the leader's role. My goal in teaching is to pass this on.
With 40 years of dance experience—spanning Standard dances but with a strong emphasis on Latin American styles—I have had the opportunity to explore the origins and historical evolution of these dances and to interpret them in numerous national show performances. For me, dancing is a way to unite melody, mood, and creativity and express them through movement. Tango, as a dance based on improvisation, has always offered—and continues to offer—me room for interpretation. With tango, I can "paint" on the dance floor.
My first steps (2005)
I learned from Jeusa Vasconcelos & Eric Müller. Later, I attended classes with Daniel & Lorena Ferro, Miguel Zotto & Daiana Guspero, Ricky Barrios & Laura Melo, and Alejandra Heredia & Mariano. Tango fever had truly taken hold of me.
I completed my training with
Claudia Miazzo & Jean Padovani, Dionisis & Cloe Theodoropoulus, Maja Petrovic & Marko Miljevic, and Vaggelis Hatzopoulos & Marianna Koutandou.

I pursued further training with
Javier Rodriguez & Noelia Barsi, Horacio Godoy & Cecilia Berra, Sebastiano Arce & Mariana Montes, Mari Ines Bogado & Sebastian Jimenez, Neri Piliu & Yanina Quinones, and Santiago Castro & Antonella Terrazas.
